Question: What is this easy-start dealer kit you talk about?

Answer: Its a fully automatic wizard type of program that you download to your computer. When you run this program, it asks you questions about your address, e-mail address, your Web site address, and so on, and then when you've answered them all, it generates a complete set of Web pages about WebPosition Gold that you can use. It literally builds you an on-line store front in minutes. It also customizes the trial version to your business and offers many automated marketing options to help you promote WebPosition Gold.

Question: Is it true that you are currently offering a 50% margin on my first 5 copies of WebPosition Gold when I sign up and pre-pay for those copies? I can buy my first 5 copies for $73.80 each, $369 total?

Answer: Yes. It's a promotion that we hope will attract ambitious and talented online merchants and entrepreneurs. The goal is to inspire new dealers to jump start their efforts to sell those first 5 copies - we know they'll be stunned by how quickly they sell them. This, in turn, will get our new dealers off to a powerful start - and we want our dealers to be successful! Hurry, this is a limited offer and will be offered one time only. When this offer expires it will be too late!

Question: Who sells upgrades to my customers later on?

Answer: As with many publishers, FirstPlace reserves the right to solicit version upgrades from it's customers (i.e., version 1 to version 2), including those customers who may have originally purchased through a reseller. However, as a reseller, you may purchase Standard to PRO edition upgrades and sell those to any of your customers with the Standard version to make additional income!

Question: What kind of protection do you offer to dealers who buy a lot of keys up front? What if the market for this product goes flat?

Answer: Its highly unlikely that the market for any Web site promotion product will go flat anytime soon - but for your peace of mind, we offer dealers a 60 day money-back-guarantee. That's an extra 15 days beyond what we offer end-users. This ensures that:

1. You can return any keys you can't sell and you won't be stuck with them
2. You can get your money back on keys sold to customers who return them to you under their 45-day-money back guarantee (provided you've offered this to them).
3. Certainly if your sales slow down, 60 days is more than enough time to see this trend and return your extra keys to us for a full refund.

Question: Is there a sign-up fee?

Answer: Yes - It costs just $149 for Standard edition to become a WebPosition Gold dealer but it includes a full working copy of WebPosition Gold. By the way, this $149 for Standard edition is fully refundable if your not completely convinced that a WebPosition Gold dealership is for you.

Question: What is the standard dealer margin when I sell WebPosition Gold after my first five copies?

Answer: Between 30% and 40% depending on how many unlock keys you pre-purchase as follows:

Question: Your dealer sign-up page spoke of signing up other dealers and referral partners under me - how exactly does this benefit me?

Answer: How about 5% on every sale they make plus an extra 30% of their $149 for Standard edition sign fee. Imagine this, someone buys a copy of WebPosition Gold from your Web site. They decided to sign-up and become a dealer (under you - we key them to your Web site when they sign-up). Now, imagine they sell 50 copies of WebPosition Gold (less than 2 a day during the month) - you'd make an extra $372.50 from that dealer alone (50 copies sold for $149 for Standard edition each = $7,450 and you get 5% or $372.50). Now imagine you sign up one new dealer a month - the extra income will begin to compound. You do nothing but point people to your sign up form. Will every dealer you sign-up sell 50 copies a month? Probably not. However, it takes only one big sign-up for this to really pay off.

Question: Do I build my own Web pages to sell WebPosition Gold or do you provide Web pages to me?

Answer: Both! We provide a fully functioning Web site, or, you can create your own pages - or you can make some combination of the two.

Question: If I want to build my own Web site, can I use your graphics and logos?

Answer: Yes - we even have a special page with all the logos, graphics and artwork so that you can pick and choose and use just what you like. Check it out:

Question: Your Web site and Web pages you supply for dealers includes a 45 day money-back-guarantee - do I have to offer a money-back-guarantee?

Answer: No, you don't. Although, we highly recommend that you do - it takes the risk out of buying and will help you sell more. Returns are usually minimal. When they do occur, you return the key to us and we'll disable the customer's license from our server. We'll then exchange the key for a new one that you can resell to someone else.

Question: Do you have marketing programs or other marketing support to help me sell more?

Answer: YES. We have some tested and effective programs that include e-mail follow-up offers to people who downloaded WebPosition Gold but haven't purchased it yet. Typically, we have several follow-up e-mails offering different incentives that compel them to buy. Frequently, we strike new partnerships that enable us to include other free offers and add-on products if they purchase once they've downloaded the trial version. These programs look as though they came from you, and only your contact information is used.

Question: Do I need a merchant account or the ability to take credit cards to become a WebPosition Gold dealer?

Answer: If you don't have an account, we'll process your credit card transactions on our server and send you a check every month!

Question: If you process my credit card orders, when do you mail me my commission check?

Answer: Checks are mailed by the 15^th of every month for the previous months sales. Statements are e-mailed to you.

Question: Do I have to own a business now in order to resell WebPosition Gold.

Answer: No. As long as FirstPlace Software processes your credit card sales, we can make checks for sales of WebPosition Gold on your Web site payable to you personally. We will need only your social security number so we can send you an IRS 1099 form at the end of the year.

Question: Do I have to let you process my credit card transactions or can I do it myself, I already have a merchant account number.

Answer: We offer the service to companies and individuals who can't take credit card orders themselves. You are welcome to process your orders yourself on your server or off-line, as you choose and then e-mail them their registration key.

Question: If you process my credit card orders and I use your merchant account, do you charge me a processing fee? Also, How can I take phone orders?

Answer: No, no fee. Remember, we're getting a sale too, and we are eager to help you become more successful. Just remember that if you make a sale over the phone, you must go to your own order form and enter all the information and credit card number so we can process that sale - dealers are NOT allowed to phone in credit card numbers for customer orders - we simply don't have the staff to handle all those calls.

Question: Will I have to sign a contract or letter of agreement?

Answer: When you apply to be a dealer, you must accept the terms of the Dealer Agreement.

Question: Do I provide technical support to my customers or do you?

Answer: FirstPlace Software will provide free technical support to all your customers. However, you're expected to provide all pre-sales support in the way of sales questions and general program related questions. Any problems not covered in our FAQ, you may forward to us for an answer or solution.

Question: Do I have to sell WebPosition Gold for the prices you charge?

Answer: We recommend you sell WebPosition Gold for $149 for Standard edition (Standard) or $349 for Professional Edition. (PRO). If you use our server to process orders, these are the prices the customer will see. However, you can charge less if you want to. Please do not charge more for the product than retail unless you add some kind of additional value item to the package.

Question: When someone buys WebPosition Gold on my Web site, how do I fulfill that order? How do they activate their software?

Answer: As a dealer, you pre-purchase registration keys (codes). When someone buys a copy you send an e-mail to them with this registration code in the e-mail. The customer will then enter that on a form at our web site along with their product registration information (address, name, etc.). Our computer will then e-mail them an unlock code generally within a half hour to gain the full features of the trial version they retrieved from your site.

Question: How many Standard and PRO keys should I buy?

Answer: Buy the Standard keys first and try to order at least a few at a time so you have them on hand when orders come in. For larger orders, we recommend you buy 80% Standards, and 20% PRO version keys since that's generally the average over the long run.
