novice to learn the basic of HTML include:
HTML

Search Engine Positioning Books
Although the Page Critic
in WebPosition Gold includes a great deal of timely, and
specific advice for improving the page that you tell it to
analyze, you can't ever have too much great Web marketing
advice.
For an array of the latest optimization tips, we highly
recommend Planet Ocean's book and monthly newsletter Winning
the Search Engine Wars. Planet Ocean compiles an
amazing amount of information on the search engines which they
update monthly. They even have detailed tables covering such
things as what areas on the page each search engine looks at,
how many words each engine will read from your meta tag or
title tag, and more. If you're striving to be a search engine
guru, this is a must have resource.
We also recommend Fredrick Marckini's 500+ page "mega book"
titled Search Engine
Positioning. It covers every significant topic within
the realm of search engine marketing. If you want a
comprehensive resource that will cover search engine
positioning from A to Z, this is it. Since it's a printed book
rather than an online resource, the tips and engine specific
details may not be as up to date as Planet Ocean's
electronically updated book or WebPosition's Page Critic.
However, it's still an excellent read particularly for those
who are just getting into the topic.
Web Marketing Books
Although search engine marketing is commonly regarded as
the most effective form of Web Marketing, it certainly should
not comprise your entire Web marketing strategy. What about
e-mails? Affiliate programs? Banner ads?
Cory Rudl's popular Web Marketing book "Insider's
Secrets to Marketing your Business On the
Internet" walks you through everything from
setting up your domain name and Web site, to how to conduct a
customer survey on the Web. This book/course spanning two
binders (over 1000 pages!) contains real-world advice on which
Web marketing methods work, which do not, and how to implement
them. Every page has practical, money-saving "been there, done
that" advice from the highly successful Web marketing guru,
Cory Rudl. Even if you already consider yourself a Web
Marketing expert, we guarantee you'll learn something here
that will pay for the cost of this resource many times
over.
If you're serious about promoting your own
site and being successful on the Web, or starting a business
to do Web promotion for others, definitely grab a copy of as
many of the above books as you can. Knowledge is power. This
is even more true when navigating the rapidly expanding
frontier of CyberSpace.
